I have calendar issues!
Not only do I faithfully use iCal, but I have to have a written portable version of my calendar in addition to having iCal synced with my cellphone. Oh yeah…and a wall (actually computer cabinet door) calendar. ![]()
I used to buy those little 2 year pocket calendars, put once I had the little blonde girl, there wasn’t enough space to write everything. So I had found the BusyBodyBook. I think I read about it in Parents magazine or something. Well it worked well, but it was kind of big (a lot bigger than the current version).
So I reluctantly switched to the Whomi. It was a lot smaller (but a lot more expensive), and easier to transport. But I don’t like how you have to look down a column, past the binding, to see what everyone else is doing on a particular day. So I made the switch back to the BusyBodyBook.
I’m thankful I did. The new BusyBodyBook is thinner than the old one, but I’m loving the stripes! I love the set up…it has 5 slots for family members/subjects instead of 4 like the Whomi. And there is lots of room to write notes-to-self. ![]()
I need to run the Staples and get some self-laminating sheets so I can put a picture of the little blonde girl on the cover to really make it mine! ![]()
I also got the BBB’s Fridge Grid for my computer cabinet calendar. Since I don’t have a metal door on the cabinet, I peel off the sheets and stick them in page protectors that I have rigged up with those ring binders and hang it off the lock for the door. It’s set up just like the regular BBB…just bigger with 7 columns and a space to write a grocery list or a list of things to do. ![]()
One tip: I bought the little clear address labels at Staples and ran them thru my printer with the headers for my columns and then just stuck them on. A lot easier then writing out every single one. Joan, the amazing inventor, also suggests on the site just to use first intials at first. But I have OCD when it comes to my calendars, so I had to do the label thing. ![]()
Joan has also put the month of September downloads up so people can try out the format. Click here to go to the download page. She’s so good!
She, and her BusyBodyBook, get 2 thumbs up! ![]()
Hi Julie!
Thank you so much for your glowing post about BusyBodyBook. I give much credit to all of our customers who have helped make BBB better and better with their great feedback and suggestions - and to all, like you, who have helped us spread the word over the past 4 years.
